BlipCommunity Cultural Day: "What's on my Plate?"

BlipCommunity has suggested that we do a cultural blip today relating to what's on our plates. Well after a day of gardening in glorious weather, I decided I'd earned a Hot Cross Bun with lots of butter (and a mug of tea of course); after all, it is nearly Easter. Seemingly the tradition (basically related to Good Friday) is quite widespread but not universal: Wikipedia lists England, Australia, British Isles, Canada, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and some parts of America as being those with a taste for these delicious buns.
