Sun-dappled

We so couldn't decide what to do in the morning... 
Philipp wanted to go camping on top of the Schwalmis but I thought with 2'246 m it is going to be a tad cold there in the night! I also had the option to visit a good friend in Germany, including a board game night, but wasn't keen on the drive. 
Then we had a manifold of options that we mulled over and over. 

In the end I think we chose just the right thing in going to Engelberg and walking up by the river Aa. 
What a glorious way to spend a day :D 

Following a hiking path we had to make our way up and over a huge avalanche tongue (see extra). All the trees in the surrounding area were flattened and often just smashed off their stumps, seems that avalanche gave off a massive pressure wave, too!
