By Himself

By Himself

Cape Cornwall

Our last day in Cornwall, tomorrow we travel to Bristol to stay with Serpentine before flying home on Sunday.

We took a cliffe walk to Gurnard Point, a breathtaking stack of granite above a cove. Abandoned mines, ubiquitous in Cornwall, the ruins of Chapel Jane perched on the cliffe and the old coastguard station. Then to St Just with its fine church and wonderfully peaceful 'natural church yard' (kept as a nature reserve) and on to Cape Cornwall where I sat and sketched St Helen's chapel while Herself climbed to the monument. Unfortunately we had just missed seeing a pod of dolphins passing by.
Pizza in St Ives to finish the day!
