BITER BLIGHTERS

What a lot of irritating insects there were at the bird reserve today. I didn't have a hat, and my head is still itching at the thought of it. I just pointed the camera upwards and clicked at random. At least the sand martins are back, and once the swifts and swallows arrive they should start hoovering up all the mozzies and midges. However, there was a lovely Garganey (extra) which everyone was pleased to see as it's not a common sight. This is when I wish I had a proper grown-up camera.
