a walk in the woods

Imagine you were lucky enough to own a wood. One where deer and badgers live and where in May there is a carpet of bluebells. One where in April wood anemones flower shyly on the mossy bark of old oak trees.

Maybe you would enjoy spending time there, watching the wildlife and enjoying the flowers? Or maybe you would use it to dump your garden rubbish, churning up the path with your tractor and trailer, and then set fire to it? (see extra).

I'm not given to ranting, but please forgive me just for today. This is a perfectly legal thing to do on your own land, but I'm of the opinion that we should treat it with the respect and care it merits.
