Packwood House

As the weather was too lovely to stay in, I headed to Packwood House, one of our relatively local National Trust houses.

Later in the season the gardens will be ablaze with colour and the butterflies and birds will be charming and eminently blippable.

Everything was more subtle and the kitchen garden was quite bleak, apart from a few branches of blossom. From next weekend, it will be heaving with visitors but today it was very pleasantly quiet.

Daffodils are on the way out but this spectacular yellow bed of tulips and other bulbs stole the show. (A further detail as an extra)
