Chef

I made my own light box and wanted to try it out. I used 2 foam core tri-fold boards that a child would use for their science project. Cute the frame, glued it together and then covered it with a dollar store shower curtain. Then I used binder clips to hold in white poster board as the backdrop for my subjects. I bought 2 $8 ikea clamp lamps and a 3200 lumens bulb for each one, it was under $20 in whole. to make. I was pretty proud of the results. I think I need to get muslin to cover the outside.. .i am fearful the lamps will melt the shower curtain after prolonged uses. For now it works... I am just learning, so this was a good experiment. The subject of this photograph is a chef taken from my kitchen counter. My whole kitchen is chef's! I thought the lightbox did remarkable. hardly any shadows. I did have to manipulate the white balance because it originally came out a little yellow.
