Silly Saturday ...

This morning we attended the 4th Annual Amputee Awareness Day Open House sponsored by the Lehigh Valley Amputee Support Group.  The Key note speaker was Pedro Pimenta who is a quad amputee having lost his limbs to meningitis in 2009.  

The open house not only features the key note speaker but also many amputee related vendors.  You might not believe it when I tell you that this Kiss item that R is holding is actually a socket for a prostheses!  It was specially made for this open house by a local Prosthetic and Orthotic company ... Boas Surgical. 

We thought it would have been sillier if R had stuck out his tongue, but we didn't think of it at the time!  Silly us!
