Jack and the Bean Stalk

This "Hill of Beans" has cropped really well this summer.

There are only 6 runner bean plants planted round a wigwam of canes. They took so long to establish in the cold wet summer we have had, but once they got going they have gone from strength to strength and we've been collecting beans for about 3 weeks now.

Beans are still there in abundance with more coming all the time. Lovely to grow your own and eat fresh from the garden
