The rain has ended for us.  Listening to the radio news today it struck me I was hearing voices that were familiar to me.  Voices from residents of Edgecumbe which today has been flooded when the stop bank was breached.  I think there is a difference between speech in the North Island and the South Island.
I made pear chutney today just with the ingredients I had in the pantry.  I am keen to try the recipes with cranberries in them from Ravens Roost and SightSinging.  Thank you ladies. Yes chutney and blue cheese will be on the pre-dinner menu soon.
