Neighbors on Neighborhood Walks

Today was a beautiful, warm day, and I decided to do one of my neighborhood walks rather be cooped up in a gym.

I took a few uninspired photos of flowers and was ready to call the walk a total loss, photo-wise, until I spotted this little toad sitting on the walking path.  He blended into the macadam so well that I almost missed him!  I stopped, wondered if I had seen anything, then went back and took a photo.  For referenced purposes, he is about 2 inches (5 cm) long, and never moved as long as I was around...
