St Bees

Gorgeous day out at the coast today... big skies, wide expanse of sand, coloured rocks to play with and oh yes, a biting wind as well.

We arrived just as the new lifeboat was being launched. Unfortunately, I didn't get any shots of this as I was wrestling with my 70-200 and the lens collar. However, I really liked the curve of the tracks left by the enormous truck thing that towed the lifeboat in its cradle out to sea. The clouds were pretty amazing too.

Yes, this is another superstopper shot (I'm starting to get a feel for it now) and I'm also bound to say that John got this first... :)

The extras shows more abstract photoshopping: the first is an extremely mirrored shot of some delicate 'wave drag' and the second was probably odd to start with before I started playing around with it.
