The Things We Collect

Today I attended an excellent docent meeting at the Cameron Art Museum.    During the discussions of the exhibit "From the Fire", Shannon Brunskill, one of the artists appeared.  She is doing a presentation tonight on her work.  She gladly spoke with the group for a while, here in front of her depiction of the Radio Flyer little red wagon "The Things We Collect".  Made mostly from cast glass, she explained the tedious process involved in creating the piece as well as the thought process behind her creation.  Most of the work in this exhibit comes from the Littleton School and many of the pieces are on loan from the Corning Museum in Upstate New York.
