Thank you very much indeed for all the knd comments on the big pipe image yeserday.

The Alexander Brothers; that's who Bob and Caley reminded me of in this pose they both take up so naturally. The Scottish folk singing duo performed in full Highland Dress and were very popular of their time doing sell out concerts all over the world.

You see formal wedding photographers frantically getting their kilt wearing subjects to adopt that gallant looking stance; feet apart, one ahead of the other, body slightly to one side, nearer shoulder slightly elevated, head slightly up.
At this point the subject will indeed also have the pose of one of the famous brothers, perhaps with the addition of one hand on sporran and the other to gesture to the music;

"For these are my mountains and ......" one of their most famous songs.

In this picture it does look like the boys are ascerting their claim to their mountains in a happy gallant way.
