Harvest!

Taken In the field next to E's horse riding lesson. Such a pretty time of year.

First day back at school today. E was fine but M was saying she felt sick & was worried about not being with her friends or getting told off by her new teacher. I watched her staring at the floor and biting her nails as they lined up to go in and worried about her all day. I needn't have wasted my time though as she came out with a big smile and said it was the most fantastic day ever! (even though she couldn't remember who she played with or which bits were fantastic). E had a nice day too. Pirate day for year 2 tomorrow so won't have any trouble gettin M there for that.

Today's riding lesson was going so well. I couldt believe the things she was doing, I was feeling so happy for her until her horse changed his mind about the trotting poles and threw her off. She was ok, despite being trod on but very jumpy and scared after that. Managed to get her to sit on it for a little walk on the lead reign but not too convinced she'll be excited to come next week. People tell me it makes you a better rider so maybe now she'll feel the limit more. Silver lining?

Came home to find my little bro on the doorstep. He has two localish interviews today so popper over on his was through. He has another Friday so maybe we can squeeze another visit.

J's been decorated the girls room today. Still painting them white initially to cover our previous red & yellow walls one wall at a time. It's quite difficult painting in a bedroom with all the furniture still in it.
