Cherry Blossom Time

I loved taking classes at the UW so I could walk here regularly.   But today I made a special trip to see the magnificent quad at the University of Washington with these very old and much loved
cherry trees.   Was waiting for the sky to turn blue which did not happen (and I resisted the opportunity to make it so) but this is pure magic in any weather.   Could not resist a bunch of extras which include my favorite building  (Savory Hall,, PaulaJ will remember I think) with the gargoyles, ( think this one must be a coal miner?) and also the Art school (with small blue dome) where I spent my time in the 70s. 

Brought drinks and appetizers over to friend (blipper) Mike and hubby's houseboat so we could just sit and visit and she could put her broken ankle up.  Thought about my Weekly Blip challenge for the week  -LEGS — but I can catch her again maybe tomorrow and I probably won’t get back to the cherry trees—supposed to rain tomorrow.   So the pink clouds win the day. (all iPhone photos as I left my sony battery charger at the island and am waiting for a replacement :-)  )
