Crossing the Plains

Crazy day!!!  31 degrees and snow storms as we left the Albuquerque area....I was driving with white knuckles for about 40 miles,   Then as we crossed New Mexico, beautiful towering clouds against the rock formations on the horizon.  Loved them!
As we crossed Texas, we ran into intense thunderstorms and the most impressive front I've ever experienced!  (extra).
After 500 miles we found a lovely, relaxing hotel with all the amenities, so finally we are resting!!   And when we checked in, the temp was 69 degrees.   Weird!!
