study fun
The kids are back in school and happy with classes, the reunions with friends. One of our favorite annual rituals is school supply shopping. This year we picked up items slowly throughout the month. But the boys were more focused on clothes and shoes. One large shopping trip before school started helped us complete most of our list. Nick was a little upset at my suggestion of a $10 lego pen (for ages 4+). It looked fun. He also didn't appreciate my purchase of a giraffe-covered trapper keeper. I thought it might remind him of our safari trip in England hand-feeding some. Still, they had what was needed for the first day of school.
Connor and PJ always require a post-shopping trip after the first visit to each class, where teachers indicate specific items needed. We had a fun time looking at school supply left-over choices last night. Odd, patterned folders, or ones with nature pictures were left behind. There were relatively many people out getting last minute items. As for myself, a daisy-tipped pen and colorful, candy-like pencils were must-haves for the kids' study drawer at home.
Have a successful and fun school year!
