Paralympic Road Cycling
Only just home, it's past 11pm, so off to bed now, will update this tomorrow.
The Spanish tandem gold medalists with their medals, never seen one before, probably never will again. They kindly posed for my daughter to take a picture, so I did too.
Totally awesome day!
We spent the day at Brands Hatch to see the Paralympic Road Cycling.
This was Diego Javier Munoz and Miguel Angel Clemente Solano who won gold in the Men's Individual B Time Trial (Tandem).
We saw Sarah Storey receive her Gold Medal, it brings tears to your eyes to see everyone stand and hear the National Anthem played. We stayed for the ceremony at the end to see Mark Colbourne and Karen Darke get their Silver medals and David Stone his Bronze medal. Fantastic atmosphere and such amazing achievements.
Hubby has just told me we walked past Zanardi on the way out, shame he didn't say at the time, saw him race though.
