A very sad day...

Sadly our little cat Zoe died last night. She quite suddenly wasn't eating or moving around much on the 31st of Dec and we weren't able to get her to a vet as everywhere was closed. We had hoped that she'd bounce back on New Years Day but unfortunately she really deteriorated and we lost her during the night.

So we're all very sad today, but at least we can take comfort in the fact that she had a very long and happy life. She was the ripe old age of 16 and was very healthy despite her thyroid problem and deafness, so she wasn't in any pain until yesterday and she slipped away in her sleep.

You might remember her from my blip on the 23rd of December when I caught her having a wee snooze in one of her favourite spots in our hall :o)

Todays blip is a wee bit of the garden that she particularly liked. She would sit at the edge here and look out over the road and the fields beyond, and she loved to curl up here in the long grass on a sunny day and be hidden from view.
We all loved her very much and she'll be really missed.
