And Beauty. The illusionist, supposedly the highest paid magician of his day, persuaded Edinburgh City Council to let him bury his beloved dog Beauty (given to him by Houdini) in Piershill Cemetery. They agreed on the condition that he would be buried in the same plot when his own time came. Tragically that was just four days later when the magician died in a massive fire at the Empire Palace Theatre (on the site of the current Festival Theatre).
Taken on the way to football where a close fought game ended all square when I scored my first goal for a few weeks and a last minute equaliser.
