Out to pick up the son and shuttle him about before I decided to treat him to a bit of lunch up at the Salt Cafe. We talked our usual talks - anything and everything, and he talked about missing. And I recalled for him an incident a few days earlier with the digger where we were looking at some plants to identify them - I was sure they were a type of ranunculus but wasn’t sure what, and when I googled them on the spot, I found they were lesser celandines - and instantly I wanted to tell my mum before I realised she was no longer here. Anyway, at that the son’s eyes filled with tears. It’s those sorts of things that get you from time to time, so we chatted about her and as it would have been her 90th birthday we decided on a trip out to the graveyard.
Later, back to attend to boatie things and then over to a very short committee meeting for a change. The invoices are all out, the lift-in running order in place, better get that thing all shipshape and volunteer for the last work party to get in the good books, unless that’s too late…
