hot chili pepper festival

this evening we drove to the next town which is holding a 4 day fest for the chili pepper - a common commodity here in the south of Italy. apart from the usual stuff (spicy sausages and spreads) we had a chili cocktail with aperol, chili vodka and prosecco & we tried ricotta icecream with olive paste and chili oil followed
by chocolate icecream with fresh sliced figs and chili olive oil - very decadent and scrummy!
