Egg minding on the Water of Leith.

Not the usual Bernard Street nest, but another one just along The Shore at Sandport Place.

Since you can clearly see the ringed leg in this shot I forwarded it, with details of the nest site, to the Lothians & Fife Swan and Goose Study Group.  I got this information back: 
NUJ dark green (metal W32838) was ringed as a cygnet on the R. Tyne, Haddington on 5th August 2012. It moulted at Musselburgh  in summer 2013 and 2014 and nested at Bernard Street bridge in 2015 fledging 5 young. Did not nest in 2016.
