Blue anemone

Both of us have a bit of a lurgy, dry throats, and sniffles.... but we dont feel bad, although we were keeping each other awake last night, so hub eventually went into one of the spare rooms so we could get some sleep!

When we did wake and get ourselves together, we did go out as planned. I got my new prime lens......:-D and we did a little grocery shopping, followed by a coffe in Costas.

Once home, we had a sandwich for lunch, ate it in the garden, pleasantly warm in the sunshine, before getting into our garden scruffs, for yet more tidying and planting up!

Finally emptied last years hanging baskets, repotted 4 plants that were already sprouting again, so 4 less to buy ;-) I also trimmed and reshaped the two box shrubs that sit in tubs on our decking beside the patio doors, top dressed and watered too. I decided the rhododendrons are not looking as green as usual to fed them, hope they perk up!

Hub was transplanting his new strawberry runners and finished off planting the rest of his first early potatoes.

It started to cloud up mid afternoon so quickly grabbed my new lens to give it a little try......this blue anemone is my first shot. I am pretty pleased with its sharpness....looking forward to trying it out properly soon :-)

Roasted a chicken with thyme and lemon for dinner, had it with a large mixed salad.

Off to watch Broadchurch now :-)
