PINK BLOSSOM
Prunus serrulata, seen in Lippoldsberg.
This morning Piet Hein and I did carry a lot of tree stems uphill, and we were glad when the job was done. Also lots of sacks with smaller parts and the obligatory leaves too. What still has to be done is gathering more leaves that cover plants beneath it, and remove hundreds of beech sapplings. Never seen so many growing as in this year.
After resting and we both feel asleep, we drove to Lippoldsberg, a favourite place for a relaxed walk. The auto ferry did function since half March and slowly we glided over the water of the river Weser.
We walked around the ancient town, visited the church, a very severe in Romance style build one.
And walked along a short lane with the Japanese cherry trees in full blossom.
Then we returned, and it amazed us how light the late afternoon stayed.
Further hearts for silly saturday pictures I will give later this evening.
