A glimpse of Spring

This morning I took my usual walk in Epping Forest with Zeus09s mum and Zeus and at last we took our walk in the sunshine!   The blossom on the blackthorn bushes was looking rather splendid and we are hopeful that this means that there will be a bumper crop of sloes this autumn.

The holiday saga continues:  my sister -in- law has rather wonderfully, managed to book us all in (15 family members in total) to the Q1 resort and Spa on the Gold Coast as an alternative to the now cancelled Hamilton Island trip.  This has meant that we have had to amend our flight schedule, which involved nearly 2 hours on the phone (can't amend online) and parting with a very large sum of money.  We have no refund or exchange  allowed as the flights that we needed to cancel are still scheduled to fly, although no visitors would be permitted on the island at that time!
