Friday' s evening at Aviemore
How to change your mind on Friday at 7.30pm? Look at the ridge of Braeriach in the long distance. Beautiful, isn' t it?
So all what you need for right decision is take a look at the part of the Cairngorms in the late evening. And after all, you know the fact that you must change the plan how to spend a weekend in Highlands ;-)
Simply I took a quick decision to do a different challenge over 2 days in the Cairngorms Mountain Park.
My previous plan was so easy. Take a 2 walks (Saturday, Sunday due to weather conditions) over one munro (Bynack More) and one corbett (Meall a' Bhuachaille) in 2 days and relaxing in the tent or inside the Ryvoan Bothy (reading the book probably or so).
Anyway Friday night was only about the walking beetween Aviemore train station and Ryvoan Bothy near Glenmore. I walked through the Old Loggin Way for the start of the journey. Night was almost clear so after three hours of walking I reached the Ryvoan Bothy. Just two other guys were staying there at the same time so it was not necessary to pitching the tent and I slept well before Saturday' s tough challenge.
I' ve never slept in bothy before so it was definitely good to stay there overnight despite the fact that weather was good.
