Here's Looking at Ewe

I drove up to Castlelaw Fort for my blip tonight, walked to the top of the hill taking many shots as I went.

I then went into the old Earth House that is up there, this is the remains of a house which was in use in the 2nd century AD. Later Earth Houses were used to store grain by the Romans during the Roman occupation.

As I walked about under the ground in the small passages snapping away, Iwent through a little door and had to crouch down to get in but I stood up too quick and bumped my head. I thought, thank goodness I didn't knock myself out wouldn't fancy lying up there all night, question when I would have been found. Lucky for me though it was just a wee bump and I carried on.

On the way back down the hill I noticed this fine looking sheep, not sure if its a ram or a ewe, never took time to look.

Then before I got down to the gate I took one more picture then my heart stopped as I saw twelve soldiers with guns climbing up the hill towards me. I thought what if they confiscated my camera, so I quickly put it in my pocket but it was all ok as they marched past me. It was scary seeing them with their rifles so close up. I was glad to get back to the car still holding my camera, they were obviously just on manouvers. When I got home, wasn't happy with any of the shots I took underground.

May go back another time to get a better picture, so today the blip is off this fine Ewe or Ram. I liked the look on its face.
