tragedy

Went to visit my birds and the nest  this morning and saw it was on the ground.  We turned it over and it was empty and I am guessing that she was unable to lay any eggs.    The couple hung out nearby all day and I saw but could not photo the male feeding his mate and they seemed frantic.  Will keep watching and hoping .
