A favourite place #4

I couldn't resist one more. Still at my parents. After a busy morning, I took a quiet walk, down by the harbour of course, and watched as yacht owners arrived in the warm Spring afternoon to start working on their boats. A sure sign of Spring. The boatyard in Spring before the vessels are put back into the water is the epitome of "messing about in boats." People tweaking this, scrubbing that, tightening the other, inspecting, removing covers, washing hulls, scrapping and prepping for bottom paint. The hum of voices and grinders, the swish of brushes and the clink of ladders being laid against the hulls. Always a favourite place of mine. Heading home Tuesday to start the same process with our sailboat.
