Straw Weaver

As part of the 1809 festival in Vigo, there are many traditional craft stalls around the town. We saw potters, wood carvers, shoe makers, tile makers and weavers. This man was weaving mats and hats out of straw.
It has been another fascinating day in Vigo. In the extra I have included a photograph from the castle ruins on the hilltop, a sunset looking out across the sea, a view looking back towards the city from the harbour and, especially for FranG, one of me breaking my sugar free March fast with an enormous candy floss!
