Engaged!

My son Nick took his girlfriend Hollie away this weekend and he asked her to marry him...she screamed then said yes. I knew he was going to do this as he told me on my birthday while he was dragging me around the half marathon. He thought the news would get me around....it did! I couldn't be more happy for them. Hollie is a lovely girl and I know she makes him happy. What more can you want.
It's been a busy day. We had three young men staying last night. They had flown in from the USA yesterday, went to watch Ipswich play with Andy and Alex then stayed for a BBQ and a bed for the night. This morning after a big breakfast I took them to the station as they were staying in London before heading off to Manchester. What lovely young men. All very interesting.
Home and who would want to be stuck indoors when the weather was as it was. So it was down the back with the mower. First cut this year. I carried in until the petrol ran out.
I then took Andys new car for a spin. It's so nice to drive. I enjoyed being back behind an automatic again. I took it down to Southend and we had dinner in one of our favourite fish restaurants.
