Mr & Mrs Smith

What a fantastic day at our friends' wedding. A beautifully personal marriage service from one of their neighbours and non stop smiles and laughter. One of the most joyful weddings we've ever been at.

JT was best man and his speech went down a storm. He had a hard job following the groom and mother of the bride, both of whom were touching and very funny. He had some great tales about the groom, despite the lack of alcohol to fuel his exploits. And he even managed to get some laughs at the bride's expense, which she loved and no doubt expected.

Barry made an appearance after being the star of the hen weekend (https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2285887086168900396) but had an unfortunate injury which may be terminal. Poor Barry. At least I got a dance with him first...

The band were fabulous and supplemented by an 8 year old flower girl who played tambourine with them for most of the night and never missed a beat! The singer was brilliant with her, even sitting on the floor with her near the end of the night while continuing to perform and thanking her at the end.

If their marriage is as happy as today has been, they will be very lucky people. I think that will be the case.
