Magpie

This may be a common sight for some but never before this far West.

We saw this one in the garden today, the closest previous sighting was 50 miles East of us. They have been coming nearer over the last couple of decades but I never expected to see them here.

With so many environmental changes the "generalist" species such as the magpie is expanding while the "specific species" is declining. I see this as an on going trend for the future.

Friends coming around tonight and then we are heading away on an adventure tomorrow but I still expect to keep up with you all.
