Yorkshire Dales
A perfect day for our walk from Linton Falls near Grassington.
Walked for the first time this year in just a tee shirt!
It started with the song of the birds as soon as we opened the car door.
Followed by the noise of the water as it bounced over the falls, and then the bleating of little lambs up on the hill side.
Beautiful weather, good company, and the Yorkshire Dales in all their glory.
Difficult to choose one photo, so I have put a couple of extra.
One of some beautiful dainty white violets . I don't remember seeing any before. " Viola Striata".
The collage includes the falls, lambs, and also a lovely little dipper, bobbing about on the rocks by the river.
However, with the help of Mr C, I did decide on just one photo for my blip.
It just had to be the higgledy piggledy dry stone walls, the winding farm track, and the limestone outcrops. With the beautiful sky, and distant views.
My photo doesn't do it justice, as it quite took my breath away.
Feeling tired after walking 7.5 miles up and down dale, through streams and bogs. But oh what a wonderful feeling to have been able to spend the day out in our wonderful Yorkshire countryside with friends.
Both came home very happy.
