going for a paddle...

...in a woodland stream. Sid was already in the water searching for underwater logs - Nelly was a bit more careful and just paddled. We took them for a long walk this morning - it took a while as Sid's getting older and walks a lot slower than he used to. The woods were full of bright white wood anemones and the odd bluebell here and there. The trees are starting to leaf up and it was good to hear a couple of woodpeckers hammering away.

Planted a bed of peas this afternoon and potted up into 3 inch pots the dahlia seedlings that I planted in early March. Never grown them from seed before.
