Blowsy

There's just no better word to describe this stage the magnolia goes through. Big, luscious blooms, falling apart in their richness, overblown, overripe, blemished....the last blast before they fall to the floor in a delicious messiness...

I hope you're enjoying your weekend. Mine has been super. David Tennant as Don Juan in Soho (based quite closely on the Moliere play) has received mixed reviews. I thought his performance was one of his best ever but the critics are divided.

The Independent and The Guardian both gave the top grade of five stars. Others hated it. The Times only gave the production two stars and said David Tennant wasn't a convincing sex god. But it was written by a man so maybe he lacked a certain perspective.

The play is rude, crude, disturbing and brilliantly scripted. and, if you're not easily shocked, unmissable.
