The Valleys

A very smooth trip down to Wales today- no bad traffic delays for the first in a long time!
The weather was the most eventful, changing within minutes. Typically and humourously a torrential downpour greeted us as we passed 'Croeso y Cymru'. Great to see my Grandparents in fine form. The Greeting from one uncle and his small daughter eased us into the family visits gently!
Li'l sis and I decided to go for a wander to the shop after tea and ended up at the river after viewing the Miners' memorial (additional) first.
A lovely day really.
Although, a bit of sad news this evening from home has left me feeling a bit helpless.
