Rays towards sunset over the South Downs
At last, yesterday, Des and I met up and drove round some of the South Downs.
Des wanted a snooze, I saw on the map a car park with a big hill from which to gaze from - and then the weather closed in, erupting into a violent shower and storm, not before performing some dramatic rays.
This is looking west, with the big radar thingy on the ridge above Portsmouth in the far distance.
In the extra is a now edited view of Chichester Cathedral - light is rather ordinary, at least compared to just ten minutes later of this shot and was taken at 400mm.
