Cordoba

We have left Seville and taken away some good memories. We have taken a very pleasant rail journey to Córdoba where we visited the amazing cathedral - the Mezquita.

It is a place we knew well from a distance through photographs, articles and other media. I was wary of such familiarity and the superlatives used to describe it. Expectations were high.

We were not disappointed. It is another gem of a building with its pillars and arches and a glorious transept which floods the building with light. It was a privilege to be there.
