Edie's Christening
2years 317days
We started the day with Granny and Grandad for a bit of a play at their house. They played with Katie whilst I went out to get a few last bits for the big event of the day - the Christening of my Goddaughter, Eden May. Katie had a lovely play with my Godson, Max (Edie's brother) before the service outside the church. She was really excited to walk to the party with him too.
She was such a good girl at the reception party. Edie's mum had done a great job of providing toys and activities for the littles so they were chasing cars, colouring Peppa Pig, running round and round, and eating huge bowls of homemade fruit salad. She ate some of the buffet lunch before they played more running round and round.
After everyone had eaten, they of course cut the cake. However, they then decided to let Eden, Max and Katie do a bit of a cake smash. This is before it got really messy with Katie and Max and a larrrrgggeeee tray of cake, but I wanted to blip Edie with Katie for Edie's big day.
When most people had gone, the children's aunty cut down the big tissue paper pompoms and took the centre piece balloons down for the three of them to run round with. Edie lay in the mountain of pompoms, Katie hid in a big tree of balloons, they had a wonderful time. And yet Katie still had enough energy to run up the big hills back to Grandads. That'd be the cake.
