Pick Up Sticks

Several cottage neighbours chipped in (pun intentional) to hire Brad and his tree cutting machine. In our case a very large heavy poplar has been leaning on an ever more ominous angle downhill towards the cottage. While RS is no slouch as a feller of trees this one was not going to be an easy or safe job.

This tracked machine crunched its way through the brush behind our place, sawed off the big tree and backed out again holding the treetop, then laid it down neatly beside the driveway. Two other tall dead trees removed and stacked; the whole operation took about seven minutes from arrival to departure.
