Flycatcher

A day birding in the Salt Lakes area of Arizona. There were numerous small birds around but I loved the tones of this ash-throated flychatcher.

They nest in holes in trees usually those made by the ladder-backed woodpecker anything from 2 to 25 foot above the ground and made from weeds, grass, and twigs then lined with hair or feathers. They lay anything from 3-7 eggs often raising 2 broods a year.
