F*#k! A Duck!

Exactly what I said when I glanced out the window over the kitchen sink and did a double take. There was a Wood Duck in the creek! Actually, it turned out there were two of them. If I'd been there two minutes later I'd have missed them entirely as they were paddling quite swiftly downstream and were soon out of sight.

Coincidentally there is a male Wood Duck (this one is a male too) at The Wildlife Center right now and I held it today while it got its meds. They're smaller in the hand than they look in the creek from a distance. Which is a phenomenon I notice with a lot of birds.
