A Favourite Place #5

My favourite grocery store on the island is Thrifty Foods.  It's one of the two bigger grocery stores here.  Thrifty's is right in the heart of Ganges and is very convenient for boaters docked at the harbour as well as for locals.  We shop occasionally at the other one, Country Grocer, which is bigger than Thrifty's, has a bigger fresh produce section and more room in the aisles, but it's easier to park near Thrifty's and do other errands downtown at the same time.  A lot of high school students find part-time work there, a great way for them to make a bit of money.  It's always a pleasure to interact with the friendly staff.
