Changing Time in the Wood

The daffodils are all finished in Holcombe wood - but the wild garlic is waiting - I like the small of garlic - do you?

Holcombe Village in Somerset is the home of the nursery rhyme "Ring-A-Ring-of-Roses" which remembers the time when the plague came to this village long ago.   The "ring-of-roses" represents the rosy red rash around the neck of suffers - a very sad time for the little village in fact a new village was built - so there is now Holcombe and Old Holcombe - The extra is a picture Old Holcombe's church - no longer used but can still be visited,
