Suddenly...

Driving across Cowal today I suddenly realised that in the last week the gorse has come into flower , because there are now sweeps of yellow in every glen.  

This afternoon they were counterpointed by dark skies and shadowed hills as the torrential rain from this morning passed over to be replaced by heavy showers.
