FLOWER FRIDAY

We had some friends round for a meal a couple of weeks ago and they very kindly brought me a lovely bouquet of flowers, most of which are still going strong.

However, this gerbera is really past its best, but you know that Mr. HCB is forbidden to throw any flowers away until he has cleared it with me - so they have been sitting on our hall table just waiting for me to “give the word” and he will then consign them to the compost heap.

I rather liked the back of this gerbera, with all the detail, so this is my offering for Flower Friday and I know that one of my Blip friends will be especially happy because it’s pink.  I did use my new Panasonic camera and this is without any touching up at all - so SOOC as they say.

Apologies for not commenting last night but I think I overdid the hoeing, despite Mr. HCB trying to make me stop - that’s the trouble with gardening and especially when the sun is shining.  However, he did say that it was good to see me back out there doing things - I think he has missed me being out there with him but I do need to pace myself.

I’m meeting a friend later for coffee, but had a long lie-in and at 11.58 am still in my pink robe - so I match the colour of the gerbera!
