A peaceful hour on Otmoor

This is our local wilderness spot, the RSPB nature reserve at Otmoor. I've not always been that keen in it, it can seem a long trudge for little reward at times. But it was just the place to be on this gorgeous September morning, and I was rewarded with a lot of dragonflies, a flock of lapwings, three herons and a green woodpecker. Unfortunately only had my phone for pictures so this is the best I managed for a blip.
